Summer Reading

Our 2021 Summer Reading Lists are here! Check out these updated reading lists for ideas for what to read over the summer months and all year round. If you are entering grades 5-8, don't forget that you need to read a book for your back-to-school book discussion.  Check out which book you are reading on the book discussion list. Required Reading
Students entering:

KINDERGARTEN

FIRST GRADE
The Most Magnificent Thing by Ashley Spires
 Same, Same but Different by Jenny Sue Kostecki-Shaw

SECOND GRADE
Clementine  by Sara Pennypacker
 
THIRD GRADE
The Year of Billy Miller by Kevin Henkes
Students should read at least two other books and can read the required book by themselves or listen to a parent reading it aloud.

FOURTH GRADE
The Best of Iggy by Annie Barrows
Students should read at least three other books.

FIFTH GRADE
Pie in the Sky by Remi Lai
Students should read at least three other books, including their assigned book discussion book.

SIXTH GRADE
Students should read at least four books, including a mystery and their assigned book discussion book.

SEVENTH AND EIGHTH GRADE
We encourage all students entering Seventh and Eighth Grade to read five books, including the assigned book discussion book.
